The acrylic foam is part of the bond, not just a spacer. Its viscoelastic behaviour helps it make contact with the surface and distribute stress across the joint.

PREPARE

Position the tape and apply uniform pressure. Remove the liner and bring the prepared parts together with care.
ALLOW
Follow the specified bond-build time and conditions before loading the assembly. Initial contact is not a promise of final holding strength.

Which exact 3M VHB series is this?
The catalogue name does not identify a specific 3M series. We confirm the product reference with your enquiry rather than treating every VHB tape as the same product.
Does a red liner identify the grade?
No. Liner colour and a product illustration are not enough to identify the supplied tape. Use the confirmed 3M product reference and its technical documentation.
Will it bond to every automotive plastic or paint?
No universal compatibility is claimed. Tell us the exact substrate and coating; the tape and surface preparation must be selected for those materials.
Is the bond ready for full load immediately?
Do not treat first contact as full bond strength. Follow the selected tape's instructions for pressure, bond development and when the assembly can be loaded.
Can it replace any screw, clip or vehicle fastener?
