THE MECHANISM
THE HOLD IS MECHANICAL.
Self-mating heads engage with an audible snap. Separate the closure for access, then press it together again. This is a mushroom-head fastener, not a textile hook-and-loop tape.

Before you start.
PREPARE
Identify both surfaces. Use the cleaning and preparation method specified for the selected grade; the bonding surfaces must be clean and dry.
APPLY
Position the adhesive-backed pieces and apply firm, even pressure. Follow the grade instructions before putting the attachment into service.
ENGAGE
Align the two faces and press them together until the closure is fully engaged. Check the complete attachment, not only one corner.
Review the selected grade and application instructions. Low-profile Dual Lock is not intended to mate with standard-height Dual Lock.

Is Dual Lock the same as hook-and-loop?
No. Dual Lock uses interlocking mushroom-shaped heads on both mating faces. Textile hook-and-loop uses two different fastening surfaces.
Is this SJ4570 or SJ4575?
The local catalogue uses the combined notation SJ4570/5. Official 3M documentation identifies SJ4570 as clear and SJ4575 as black. We confirm the grade and colour against your enquiry before supply.
Can I connect it to standard-height Dual Lock?
Low-profile Dual Lock is not intended to mate with standard-height Dual Lock. Specify compatible mating pieces rather than mixing fastener formats.
How much weight can it hold?
There is no single load figure for every assembly. The grade, bonding surfaces, fastening area and direction of load all matter. Provide those details so the attachment can be evaluated.
Does reclosable mean the adhesive can be reused?
Reclosable describes the mechanical connection between the two fastener faces. It is not a claim that the adhesive backing can be peeled off a substrate and reused.
